A Sunday matinee show offers a way to enjoy some great music as Americana star Larry Wilder stops in for a set at Coffee Gallery Backstage.
Besides his expertise on guitar, banjo, singing and songwriting, Wilder delivers fascinating background stories about the artists whose music he plays and their songs.
Wilder started his career in Southern California, performing at Knott’s Berry Farm, and is now based in Portland, Oregon. His work has taken him around the world, and he’s racked up a prolific record of having played some 2,000 shows. His fast-paced, energetic live performances always resonate with audiences, leading to widespread critical acclaim.
Wilder takes influences from greats including Earl Scruggs, the Carter Family, Chet Atkins, the Kingston Trio, Johnny Cash and Hank Williams. He once opened for Pete Seeger, who also influenced his work.
