Dream With Me Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing students and non-professional musicians of all ages access to vocal and instrumental performance, education and training scholarships and grants, hosts the concert, “Dream with Me on Broadway,” a benefit featuring local high school students performing songs from Broadway musicals at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20.
Fuller hosts a three-day conference, “Interpreting Paul for the Future of the World,” featuring Prof. N.T. Wright, one of the world’s top New Testament scholars, and Chair of the New Testament and Early Christianity Department of St. Mary’s College, offering a fresh perspective on Paul and how he speaks to our lives today. Events run from 7 to 9:15 p.m. tonight, 8 a.m. to 9:15 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. The conference offers practical information and resources to plan ahead and get the most out of life. It starts with the keynote address by NBC4 weatherman Fritz Coleman, sharing his thoughts and advice. Workshops address issues of brain fitness, scams and frauds, dating after 50, disaster preparedness, finding employment, Social Security, long-term care, nutrition and many other topics. Admission is free, and the conference includes continental breakfast and lunch. It runs from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Call to register.
